Julie Read
ARTIST and EDUCATOR

Julie Read B.A.(Hons) PGCE, is an artist working in digital media combined with
traditional and digital print processes. With 13 years experience teaching in Higher and
Further Education, she also provides community and gallery education projects for adults
and children, corporate training and Continual Professional Development in Photoshop for
School teachers. Julie currently tutors with the UK’s only provider of online degree
qualifications in design, The Interactive Design Institute and Dundee College.

Julie is a dynamic learning facilitator experienced in creating and implementing programs
to help others navigate challenges and improve personal and professional results. She is
passionate about the subjects she trains in and is dedicated to constantly improving the
quality of the training she provides.

15 years experience as an artist exhibiting nationally and internationally, demonstrates
Julie’s ability to responsibly and conscientiously manage projects, and take on varying
roles, requiring adaptability. Her work is held in public and private collections and she is
the recipient of a number of awards and bursaries that demonstrates peer recognition.
